Limitations

    Dear all,


    I am a noob on using this wonderful DICOM server software CONQUEST and do have some typical questions which I couldn't found that easy in this Forum:


    1) Are there any limitations for storing large numbers of studies?
    2) Are there any limitations for filesizes of (parts of) a single study?
    3) Are there other limitations I have to deal with?
    4) What is a typical heavy user having which details?
    5) etc.

    Hi,


    1) Not when you use a large scale database (e.g. mysql)
    2) Objects need to fit in memory, not really an issue if you use a 64 bit OS with sufficient memory
    3) Disk and network speed, good backup of files (many small files) and database
    4) I heard of a user sending from a few hundred systems simultanesously to a monster server, we run it with dozens of clients.
