    i started CONQUESTSERVER ok.


    when i try to import or export dicom, i get

    i can program but only in wordperfect macro language


    we use efilm 1.5.3 in office on computer owned by a clinic, whose IT people won't let me touch computer and regard every question to be answered vaguely. images are pushed to us OK. CR.


    i use terarecon on location in a different clinic for ct body screening


    they don't have any IT people


    terarecon is proprietary and is combined hardware and software


    i can view the terarecon over web by logmein.com but slow and fuzzy images


    my setup


    one panasonic 2 meg diagnostic monitor


    two other monitors 1920 x 1200 26 inch driven by 512 meg 8200 display cards


    6 PC's built by me, best 3 are p4 2 meg ram


    peer to peer network


    xp sp2


    cable modem


    i don't do vista mac or linux


    what i have done so far


    search literature


    i downloaded and installed conquest server on a laptop and unsucessfully tried to push images from terarecon server to laptop and vice versa.

    you probably get the access violations because you run conquest without a database. I assume you run under windows. Did you push the "re-initialize database" button on the installation page? And then close and restart the server application.

    Hi,


    Your crash is in the MDBF database reading component. Maybe you do have enough access to some directory. If your installation is in "program files", maybe you should move it to some other place. Or you could try installing the borland database engine BDE. What laptop do you use?

    i have tried installing it on toshiba, dell, and sony laptops with same error.


    i followed steps carefully.


    i will try what you suggest and will try installing on a desktop.

    probably you do something different than others during installation or your computers behave differently.


    To install, you unpack the zip file with all files and subdirectories. Then you start conquestdicomserver.exe. The simplest install occurs when you select OK, "Save configuration", "Verify TCP/IP installation", "Verify database installation", and "(Re)-initialize the database" in that order. Can you show the installation log (the text on the installation page) that you have at this point?


    When I do this, the server is up and running without problems, and I can browse the sample data, add images through drag and drop and query, operate the query/move page etc. Can you repeat this with a fresh install?

    before i received your reply i tried simpelest install on desktop with same result.


    I can try again on another desktop tonite to capture and post on screen message, but that part showed no error on the 4 installs i have done so far.


    i can view two sample brain ct's with intracranial air.


    i added sample dicoms that i can view with other viewers but can't view them in conquest.


    on thursday i can take a laptop with conquest to a ct scanner and try to import dicoms directly.

    i somehow managed to import some mri images from cd.


    i can view them sort of by built in viewer.


    I tried copy and paste from other sample dicom files unsuccessfully.


    i copied to c:\data and to c:\data\dbase


    i try to view using browse database.


    should i paste them somewhere else ?

    This error occurs after first installation because temporary table XADICOMpatients is left locked. Closing and restarting the server after installation should fix it.
