error when querying known good OsiriX DICOM server
( this install responds correctly when other DICOM nodes query it and allows them to retrieve cases.)
But when I query a known good DICOM server (OsiriX ), I get following message on the screen

please make it simpler. i am old.

I did a new installation on the machines.

aet, port and ip address correct on both machines.

both machines can echo each other.

but i can't transfer case from one kpacs install to the other machine.

here is log on the transferring machine.

windows firewall shows kpserver allowed to incoming

antivirus disabled

But why want to run kpacs and conquest on same machine ?

KISS keep it simple.

I was not able to get kpacs or conquest to run on windows 8.1.

I will test them ( kpacs and conquest ) on windows 7 soon and report back.

i am retired age 73 but still have keen interest .

i may have an Xp machine in the attic. If so, I will get it running again, for historical reasons.

As I recall kpacs was rock solid on Xp. I never could get conquest running on Xp.

thank you to the developers of kpacs and conquest.

ps osirix is mac only.

i tested osirix as a server - mini pacs.

it works with kpacs as client as Sabine described.
