• Sorry I'm new to PACS and I hope this isn't a dumb question:

I use conquest with k-pacs viewer. I am using it to store images from a mini c-arm in my office. I am now just starting to transfer over images but it seems on the images that I'm taken already, I did not specify the description of the study. The mini-c does not offer an option of changing the info on a study that has already been saved. How do I change this? Can I change it through K-PACS? Would that change the dicom file on the server?

When I hit modify on k-pacs I have a few blanks that I haven't filled such as birth date. I just have patient name and use SSN for the patient ID. If I try to add the description and save, it tells me that the birth date is in the wrong format. (it's blank). Do I need to fill in all the blanks?

  • Hi,

as long as you do not change the patient ID (NEVER DO THAT) or any UIDs, you can change the images on k-pacs and send them from k-pacs to conquest. It will then update the images and the database. I cannot answer your k-pacs question.
