Securing access to Conquest

  • I would like to secure access to a Conquest server, and I would be very interested in any advice on how to do that. Specifically, I would like the server to be able to receive DICOM data from remote sources, but I would like the web interface to be secured. For the moment, limiting web access to localhost for the server hosting Conquest would be sufficient. What's the best way to limit access in this manner without interfering with receiving new data?

Of note, I am using the excellent Docker image (https://hub.docker.com/r/wavedrift/docker-conquest/) supplied by user wavedrift.

    Many thanks for any advice!

  • Hi,

there are no mechanisms to secure conquest and I always suggest to only run it behind a firewall. However, you can secure web access through your apache configuration. With a bit of coding you can adapt the lua code of the new web interface to reject access from unknown IP addresses.
