When I close the iQ-VIEW application the iQ-VIEW.exe process does not seem to want to exit - still shows up in the Windows Task Manager process list. K-Pacs does the same thing - at least it does on my XP systems.

You probably mean the iQSERVER process that will not exist because it acts as a DICOM Service Class Provider indepenently to the main Application. You can close iQ-View (and K-PACS) and still receive images.

No I do mean the iQ-View.exe process. I am aware that I can stop/start the server using the admin tool provided.

Is the user account you use to run the iQ-VIEW application the same as you used to install it? If you installed the app with an administrative account and now use a different and resticted user account you should set the access rights for the iQ-VIEW installation folder (file access rights) to grant write access.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?? It is a major bug since it creates a 'ghost' process every time IQ-View/k-pacs is closed.

We just released version 1.2.2 of iQ-VIEW. Please, download it and update your installation. Post here or send an info to support@image-systems.biz if the problem is still occuring.

Yves
