Conquest, if path set to network folder images not displayed

  • Hi,

We are using Conquest as PACS. In dicom.ini file, which is the configuration file, when we set the parameter MAGDevice0 = \\123.55.88.656\data\. Images are not displayed.

As soon as we set the path to local machine folder, images are displayed properly.

Can anyone suggest, why the Conquest is not accepting the network path for images.

    Thanks,

    kh_app.

  • Hi Marcel,

Actually the IP mentioned is just dummy for example, it is not the actual. Practically, we are implementing the actual one.

Do we need to make any other changes also? Can you give us an example.

Previously, value was MAGDevice0 = C:\dicomserver\data\. It has been changed to network path for storing it there.

    Please suggest.

    Thanks.

  • Hi, if I set:

    MAGDevice0 = \\127.0.0.1\C\dicomserver1417b\data\

    everything works fine, e.g.,:

    Rewritten file: \\127.0.0.1\C\dicomserver1417b\data\0009703828\1.3.46.670589.5.2.10.2156913941.892665339.860724_0001_002000_13905887650000.dcm
    [CONQUESTSRV1] Sending file : \\127.0.0.1\C\dicomserver1417b\data\0009703828\1.3.46.670589.5.2.10.2156913941.892665339.860724_0001_003000_13905887650001.dcm

Maybe there is an authentication issue? If you run as a service, you need to set the service account to something else than 'system'.

  • Hi Marcel,

In Windows Services, Conquest Service --> Properties --> Log On account, being changed from "Local System" to "Administrator" account now allows images to store in network path. Images are also displayed.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
