Error Saving to SQL....

  • Hi Marcel!

    Im'having this issue with Conquest 1.4.15 when receiving study from ultrasound machine.

    Tried also after reinstalling original configuration from GUI

    what could be?

    Winxp SP2 (o SP3), Kaspersky deactivated

    Regards,
    Ciro

  • Tomorrow I can give You the report!

    But, if I put: SQLHost, SQLServer, Username and Password =" in dicom.ini

    should I have the same problem? I don't need conquest DB because I'm using my own db, only images

    Let me know...

    regards,
    ciro

    no writing of the file. I have 1 US machine, 1 PC with conquest but the images are stored on another pc (server). on the pc with conquest Z: is the server shared folder of images.
    I'm in trouble....I dont'know how to go on...

  • I think so, but the strange thing that using (instead of export converters):

    ImportConverters = 2
    ImportConverter0 = save to D:\SOFTWARE\ECOGYN\IMG_ECO\P000041\EG20110112_000124\temp.dcm
    ImportConverter1 = process with dgate.exe "--convert_to_jpg:D:\SOFTWARE\ECOGYN\IMG_ECO\P000041\EG20110112_000124\temp.dcm,1024,D:\SOFTWARE\ECOGYN\IMG_ECO\P000041\EG20110112_000124\test.jpg,//0";destroy

    it works...but now I've the following problems:

    - the name of the jpg should be random (like %b for export conv.) and not fixed one, tried with %o but is too long to manage for me...a short one could be ok. Can I use %V0020,0013.jpg,//0";destroy to have the name of the jpg only with the image number?
    - if a line of dicom.ini is too long (like this) it goes carriage return and doesn't work, how can I put a command on 2 lines in dicom.ini???
    - regarding export converters, I think that installing conquest on the server should solve the problem but... I have 3 US machines and 3 pc with conquest, all the images should arrive on a 4th pc (server). And don't work with export conv., sure I can put 3 conquest installations on the server in different folders, but should it work? and for the services?

    let me know, thanks a lot...

  • Hi,

    I assume that the process (service ?) has no rights to write to drive Z:. For a service you should use an UNC path.

    You can install as many servers as you want one one machine, and also as service.

    For the name of the JPG you can use a substring of %o, e..g, %o[30,40]

    Use an editor which allows longer lines (notepad without word wrap on).

    Marcel

  • using %V0020,0013.jpg is ok because with %o[30,40] the lenght is not equal.

    But......if I use service, it crashes (win xp sp2), If I use GUI it works. I need it to work with service.

    another thing: it works for 2 aloka's US but not for GE E8 US??? it receives the dcm file but no conversion in jpg is made (and no error returned!) why?

    let me know....

    thanks
    ciro

  • Hi,

    Services do not know about drive mappings, and the service account has less rights. This is the only difference. You can try set the user for the service (from windows) to yourself.

    No clue about the other US machine enable debug logging (at high level) and inspect the log to see what goes wrong.

    Marcel

  • ok, but if I use the GUI, can I sistematically run conquest in the tray?
    because users sometimes forget to start conquest and the images are not stored....
    From my EMR I can start conquest but I cannot set in tray mode, only maximized or minimized, is there a .ini file in which set conquest to run in tray???

    let me know...

  • "No clue about the other US machine enable debug logging (at high level) and inspect the log to see what goes wrong."

    tomorrow I'm again there with Voluson E8, how can I enable debug logging?
    When I get the log I'll post here

    let me know...

    I assume this is a 1.4.16 version. Did you try the much simpler:

    no jpg is created!!!!
    if I leave the import converters

    in dicom.ini:
    ImportConverters = 2
    ImportConverter0 = save to Z:\IMG_ECO\P000041\EG000200\temp.dcm
    ImportConverter1 = process with dgate.exe "--convert_to_jpg:Z:\IMG_ECO\P000041\EG000200\temp.dcm,1024,Z:\IMG_ECO\P000041\EG000200\%V0020,0013.jpg,//0";destroy

    [CONQUESTSRV1] Server command sent using DGATE -- option

    what the hell is:
    [CONQUESTSRV1] Importconverter1.0 executes: process with dgate.exe "--convert_to_jpg:Z:\IMG_ECO\P000041\EG000200\temp.dcm,1024,Z:\IMG_ECO\P000041\EG000200\21.jpg,//0" Z:\IMG_ECO\P000041\EG000200\printer_files\1.2.826.0.1.3680043.2.135.730956.43877812.6.1295977040.546.0.dcm

    it corresponds to destoy??? and the dgate crashes!!!

  • Please answer my question first. Does this work from the command line:

    dgate.exe "--convert_to_jpg:Z:\IMG_ECO\P000041\TT000116\temp.dcm,1024,Z:\IMG_ECO\P000041\TT000116\2.jpg,//0"

    This line was a mistake on my side:

    ImportConverter1 = save jpg to Z:\IMG_ECO\P000041\TT000116\temp.dcm,1024,Z:\IMG_ECO\P000041\TT000116\2.jpg

    should have been the simple:

    ImportConverter1 = save jpg to Z:\IMG_ECO\P000041\TT000116\2.jpg

    can dgate actually write to Z: at all? Is sounds like a drive mapping that is not available to a service (use unc paths).

    The command "process with" writes the dicom object as temp file and starts the command passing the temp file name. Use "system" instead or leave the process with out. All these command are documented in the manual.
