can not query K-Pacs

I can transfer images ok
from machine A (ERICSONY115) to machine B (SONY134)
and
from machine B (SONY134) to machine A (ERICSONY115).

I try to query as follows:
On machine B (SONY134)
Query
Network
Check in box for machine A (ERICSONY115)
Fill in Patient Name
Click search box.

It does not seem to be a problem in the communication between the two devices.

They can ping each other ok.

On the DICOM configuration page, I can ECHO both machines both ways.

It does not seem to be a problem with the images themselves.

I have used the debug log level on both ends (transfer station and destination station).

the log on machine A (ERICSONY115) shows

K-Pacs Configuration ok both machine A (ERICSONY115) and machine B (SONY134)

here is my test setup.

two laptops connected by switch.

switch is not connected to rest of network or internet.

i can push - transfer images either way ok.

can not qwery either way.

help please
