I found a problem (1.4.14) w lacie NAS

  • Hello,

Some background: Win2003srv, conquest 1.4.14, Lacie 1.5 TB (Ethernet 1Gbps BigDisk), Mysql 5.0.45.

Everything is fine in GUI mode but if I run conquest in "nt service mode" it no loger can write/read on/from storage device (Lacie)
(Windows share on device that has username and password, its mapped to specified drive)

When using local drives or Fibercat storage thats connected via optical cables and mapped to dynamic disk - no problems so far, everything works brilliant.

The problem seems to occur only with MYsql because when I use MS sql 2005, it all works fine again even w lacie.

Because of this lacie interface and all is so crap that I cannot chek out logs if conquest is accessing or at least trying to do it at all...

    Any Ideas or help? :)

  • Hi,

I believe drive mappings are not available to the service (there have been earlier reports of this on the forum). It may help to replace the MAG0 entry in dicom.ini with the full UNC path, \\server\share\dir.

  • Hi,

It is not clear to me why mysql would interfere with running the server as a service. I may have to do with different rights of the service user and the local user. Did you try to change the login for the service to yourself? With ODBC you need to do that if you use a user DSN instead of a system DSN. But you probably use the native mysql interface. But it may have similar issues.

  • Marcel,

we still have the same problem. when running as a service the dgate can't find the network path or mapped drive. we've also try to run as service log on as a local user that has full rights. The Nas is configured as MAG1, so 2 devices.

  • Hey Marcel,

here's the debug loggin. First in service mode, then switch the service mode off. The images are retrieved from the second device MAG1 (NAS) but you can simulate also the same situation on a local disc. Just make 2 devices and retrieve from the second one in service mode. Doesn't matter if the gui is running or not.

ERROR = "[CQ] ***Could not find file:1.2.192.872.98.4.359.2007.5.8.12.24.23\1.2.392.200046.100.2.1.0.132.20070508122829.1\1.2.392.200046.100.2.1.0.132.20070508122829.1.1.1.dcm"
Seems that the path of MAG1 is not recognized in service mode.

  • I am afraid the NAS issue is still baffling me. The logs are normal. Have you looked at these posts?

    http://www.image-systems.biz/f…28&p=2904&hilit=nas#p2904

Can you also open the GUI when the service is running, and test some maintenance options (show free space on device?) Can you query the server when it runs as a service.

    Marcel

  • Will check the link.

Yep, I have opened GUI, maintenance options shows free space, I can query but I cannot write/read to/from device. In only GUI mode, all works fine :)
