Kpacs and Conquest install

  • I am a small office that has only one client that wants to send me his digital xrays over the internet, via a VPN. I currently have a Kpacs viewer, but it only allows pushing one image at a time. Does your viewer allow more than one image at a time, preferrably a whole series at once. Sorry, I am new to this format and a novice. I notice that the conquest name is on the Kpacs viewer. Do I need to download the conquest server to completely utilize the Kpacs viewer. I need to receive the images I will not be involved in sending them. Thank you for your help.

    Thank you for your help on this,
    Robert Tatum, DC, DACBR

  • Hello Robert,

    yes, it does. You have to open the K-PACS.ini file and change the entry

    SendMultipleFilesInOneAssociation=0

    to

    SendMultipleFilesInOneAssociation=1

    The Conquest server is our preferred archive software. It should be used as central storage with one or more modalities sending images to it and one or more clients (like K-PACS) retrieving these images for reading.

  • there is a clinic with a ct scanner.

    they want to push dicom cases to me via the internet.

    i am comfortable using K-Pacs viewer.

    as i understand it, it is best to set up conquest at the clinic and K-Pacs at my home.

    is that correct ?

    thank you
