We have an old ultrasound machine that takes a really long time when transfer compressed jpeg images. That's because the compresison algorithm in that machine is no good. I was wondering if we can just tranfer the image in original format which is much faster and have K-Pacs server automatically compress it and store the compressed jpegs only. Is this possible? Can't afford to store the original format as space is running out. But is I try save the export the image into jpg and then delete the original, the patient index is lost.
Any help will be appreciated.
