Reading and Writing .SCAN (ELEkTA XVI) Files

Hello,

I need to replace the XVI reconstructed files (with .SCAN extension) with mine (basically to write .SCAN files from DICOM/mha or any other format). The problem is that I do not have a .SCAN writer. I am wondering if there is anyway to do it with Conquest?

What is the pixels' data type? I found this in the header "data=xdr_short", is it a float?
