Hello,
Is there a way to increase PDU size of Conquest. It looks like it fails at Q/R with larger multi frame DICOM objects with the PDU size of 16K.
Any help appreciated.
Best Regards,

Hi,
the PDU size should not affect this. At what size does it fail? The 32 bits version supports up to 400MB or so, the 64 bits version up to available memory.
Marcel
We are using 64bit OS Windows 10. Conquest version 1.4.17D. File size is around 170MB US Multiframe, sometimes more. Querying application's engineer ask to increase PDU size. Conquest can receive and save the objects but can't response the Q/R.
Thanks,
Haluk
Hi,
can you indicate exactly what goes wrong and if there are any error messages?
The PDU size is currently hardcoded. Increasing it would improve performance potentially, but the current performance is very high.
Marcel
Hi,
This is what the (BB4DC2) Conquest log shows when accessing a MultiFrame US image with our viewer (RESMD).
We are able to view anything else with this configuration.
When we use a different PACS with the same viewer, we can display MF images.
Any help appreciated.
Haluk

Hi,
Is there any image size dependence on the behaviour or all images of this type rejected? Obviously the viewer hangs up, maybe there is a very short timeout configured?
Marcel
Hi Marcel,
Sorry for late reply. Actually we have identical viewer configuration with another PACS and don't have the time out problem. We have seen new 64 PDU exe in another post and tested with the new exe below.
"http://ingenium.home.xs4all.nl/dicomser ... u32768.exe
it has a hardcoded pdu size of 32768 instead of 16384. Curious what it will bring."
This time we get the error below;
BETA] UPACS THREAD 89: STARTED AT: Wed Aug 3 11:50:50 2016

Any thoughts on "Protocol error 0 in PDU:Read"

Hm,
I guess your viewer does not support the (experimental) larger PDU size. You did not answer other queries regarding the timeout.
Marcel.
I am sorry, I thought I've replied the time out queries. It is 60 sec both on working system and Conquest node. We are not able to log more at Conquest side. A bit stucked at the moment.
Is there a limit on image size when the error occurs, and if so how long does take before the error appears, 60s or less?
Marcel
