Store problem with Carestream Vita CR

    I'm rather not experienced with Conquest, but situation looks reletively clear: the CR console (workstation) of brand new Vita CR is connected to the same private network segment as Conquest serwer (1 Gb/s). Although images of smaller dimensions are passing to server without problems, images of 35x35 cm and larger have to be sended 2 - 5 times to be finaly stored. The situation looks "stable". Looking forward for suggestions...

    How long does the transfer of the big images take?


    1) try enable jpeg support and store the images as UJ (uncompressed or jpeg).


    2) Maybe also try to update to 1.4.17c (see forum) to be on the safe side.

    Of course after 11 seconds transmission is broken.

    JK is jpeg2000 compression which is quite slow. If the VITA has a short timeout it may hang up while processing is still ongoing.


    By the looks of it VITA takes 4 s to send the image, while it takes 7 s to compress and store. Compression UN and J1 will be much faster.

    After upgrade to 1.4.17c and 2 days of observation must say that now it goes well. Even techicians are satisfied.
    So I will look for logs for couple of days and then give You final answer.
    And after that I'll ask You another question... but about a bit different problem.
