Image quality when "Lossless JPEG" selected in Configuration

    We are using Conquest as PACS.


    In Conquest, Configuration Tab--> option "Images on disk are stored" is selected as "Lossless JPEG".


    Can anyone suggest, when the images that are being stored as "Lossless JPEG", are viewed on the Viewer. Are the images uncompressed at that point and displayed in Viewer? and is there any quality loss.


    Also, what happens when C-MOVE command is given from one Conquest to another. Are they uncompressed and send? Also is there any quality loss.


    Please suggest.

    lossless has no quality loss. By default, images will be compressed when storing to disk and uncompressed when retrieved. This is automatic and transparant. There is a section about it in the manual.
