Send images as E-Mail generates images with extension "

I'm testing the K-Pacs 0.9.5 Version on Windows XP SP2. Why, when I send images via E-mail using the K-Pacs function "Export -> Send as e-mail", enclosed images have extension "dcm" ? The options "Use JPeg compression" and "Medium (lossy)" are selected and in the status bar appears "Compressing images in progress". I think this is a bug.

This is definitively not a bug. The images are jpeg compressed dicom images, not pure jpeg. If you want to send jpeg files, you have to export a study or series into jpg (viewer::Export) and send these files manually via e-mail.
