We have GE OEC machines that store some overlay/annotation in the header of the file. When I go to look at the header via iQ-View or K-PACS the information is all jumbled up. The information is stored in the (6002,0010) to (6002,3000). I have one field that I can read that is at (6002,1500,Overlay 1494x30) and it reads "Demographic Annntation Overlay". Is there any way that these can be displayed on the images. We have one copy of E-Film and it can display the information.

Could you please send me one or two example images (Andreas<at>k-pacs.de)? Then I can tell you more. There is no real support of bitmap overlay in K-PACS/iQ-View yet but this is on our todo list and will be available soon.

When you add the display of a bitmap overlay will you also make it possible to annotate an image? For example, numbering vertebrae or adding an arrow? I know this is possible by exporting to jpeg, but I'm thinking of routine workflow. Do you expect to add such a feature before the end of the year? Thanks.
best,
Mike
