Images can send from MRI scanner to k-pacs, because K-PACS server is a fully dicom compliant store service class provider. Just state the AET, IP and PORT of K-PACS as a dicom node at MRI machine and send the images. K-PACS will receive them if the server is running (server starts automatically when starting the k-pacs.exe). It will find the received studies in "local" mode (click on "imagebox").
