I am not such an insider about MySQL 5.1, the advantages are listed on the hp of MySQL.
But I doubt that you see any difference in speed or anything betwenn the 2 versions. I only had to make a new installation, so I did that with 5.1.

You can even use the MySQL 5.1 Beta Version, its running stable.
-
Can even try the radscaper, but I don t know if its working with conquest.

there is work in progress to set it up. very promising.

To my mind the viewer of myfreepacs
http://www.pacssoft.com/index.php?content=myfreepacs
looks more useful. I ve used that prog for emergency cases to be reviewed by the neurosurgeons via internet. Worked fine. -
Looks nice, but what kind of database is that prog using ?
-
Do you know a prog to generate hl7 messages o files?
-
You can send the images from the cr direct to the kpacs workstation,
Kpacs should run as nt-server then, if the remote PACS server is saving all images and archiving like you say.
So you don t need the conquestserver.
After finishing reading all studies, the doctor can delete all studies from the local database.
On the other hand, conquest is able to delete studies automatically when a certain amount of discspace is full, this you can predefine in the GUI. -
Although I personally dont have any experience with linux, the IT guy of the hospital, I worked for, installed Conquest on a server with linux as os and with a postgres database.
The system has been running absolutely stable for more than a year now.
With k-pacs as viewers on remote pc. -
I ve tried that, instead of the webpage there is only displayed numbers and letters, so something is going wrong.
with the apache there arent any probs. -
The conquestserver is running without any probs.
But there is nothing to configure, only the path to the images.
So I don t understand why its not running. -
Unfortunately, with the new version it doesnt run, allthough the webserver is runnung.
I only get the message, that I mght download the dgate.exe.
Any solution for that prob?
I am using 1.4.13 beta. -
Kpacs is a viewer, and not designed for long term storage cause the datebase is textfile based, as far as a know, so not ideal for that.
I would advice to use dicomconquest for that with a real database like MySQL or MSSQL2000. -
To find a reasonably priced Web Interface with an excellent viewer is like to search for the holy grail.
-
did you make the entry of the ae title, ip adress, port of the kpserver in conquest?
-
Manuals are on the way.
I d like to have a short feed back, if something is to difficult or should be changed. -
I ve MySQl runniing for more than 3 years without any greater probs, its fast and stable.
But on the other hand, you should consider about MSSQL2000 oder 2005 for really great volumes. I ve installed that for a hospital.
But I wouldn t use dbase. -
We are doin that the same way, cause one of our old ct is using a so called merge box to convert the files into dicom and the entry of referring phsyi. cannot be made.
I guess its the only way to do it, cause to my mind conquest doesn t have a possibility to correct the header, wo be a good if it could be made in conquest. -
did it help anybody?
If something is not very clear, let me know it. -
same happens to me.
