I managed to get it worked ... I am the worksation's admin, but in windows 8,1 it's better not to install in c:\program files (since even admin are not fully able to write on it), but just leave the standard dir during installation c:\k-pacs. I confirm, it's fully working even on windows 8

I have too this kind of problem.
Switched from my old windows 7 workstation to a newer windows 8,1, k-pacs can run, but' can't save dicom servers under "network section"
It was very useful for us, since we are owner of 14 iqview license!!! This because we are techinician, not the end users (doctors) so we support and troubleshoot dicom event with k-pacs just in case of troubles.
SInce it's not working anymore, what's the alternative ?
