    Marcel, I have a Conquest Server that is auto forwarding to another PACS. I also need to auto forward to iQ-VIEW located on same network. How do I set it up in the .ini file to auto forward to both AE Titles please.

    Thanks.

    Thanks Sabine. Sorry I did not get back to you early. I am only using it a method to transfer studies from InSiteOne to my iQ-WEB since i have to modify each study before it gets stored on the iQ-WEB. I ended up using it and then moving the studies to Conquest. I now have over 40,000 studies in there and am retrieving them month by month, fixing the studies, and transferring them to iQ-WEB.

    Makes for job security if nothing else!!

    Andreas:

    i have a quick question.

    i have k-pacs installed (temporary) on a server and am using it to retrieve approx 50,000 studies from another server. i am pulling about 5,000 at a time. i then modify the patient data, like the ID or the referring physcian, and then i send to my iq-web server.

    all was working fine until yesterday. for some reason, studies were "disappearing" off the list. i would make a modification, save it, and the name was gone. however, if i did a search for the modified studies, they showed up.

    then i noticed i hit the 10,000 study mark. it also won't take anymore. is the problem a limit in the amount of studies in kpacs? is there a way around that?

    thanks.

    Andreas:

    I have a problem with K-PACS that does NOT occur with iQ-VIEW.

    I am using the lastest version, but i also tried with an earlier version.

    I have 4 sites using K-PACS as a way to transfer studies from their location to my iQ-WEB PACS.

    If there is data in the "referring physican" field, K-PACS reports a "storage error", but there is no error. The studies store just fine, with no error on the iQ-WEB side.

    if there is NO data in the "referring physican" field, no error is reported.

    I did the exact same study, same system, with iQ-VIEW, with and without data in the "referring physican" field, no storage error reported and everything worked fine.

    We use the field to determine viewing rights on the iQ-WEB, so we have to use it. The techs now have to log into the iQ-WEB to verify that the study went ok since the K-PACS reports the error, even though they are aware of the issue. Can't take a chance on it now storing properly.

    Below is the log (since I could not attach the it as this site will not allow .txt files to attach).

    Can you find out the bug for me please. These people bought 3 iQ-WEB license's from me via John Mazur in Philadelphia and neither he nor I can see what is causing this issue.

    Thanks.

    Marcel, i put in after this line:

    ExportConverter0 = forward series to TIAPACS

    it did not work. still forwarding MG and NM

    did i put in wrong place?

    Pat

    Marcel, I need to exclude some studies from my auto forwarding.

    Currently, this is my export in the .ini file:

    # Configuration of forwarding and/or converter programs to export DICOM slices
    ForwardAssociationLevel = IMAGE
    ForwardAssociationCloseDelay = 5
    ForwardAssociationRefreshDelay = 30
    ForwardAssociationRelease = 1

    ExportConverters = 1
    ExportConverter0 = forward series to TIAPACS

    ForwardCollectDelay = 30
    MaximumExportRetries = 0
    MaximumDelayedFetchForwardRetries = 0

    First, is there anything i need to do to improve the forwarding?

    Second, I need to exclude certain studies. I don't want the MG to forward or the NM (mammos and nuc medicine).

    Can i do this?

    Thanks

    Pat Stacey

    Marcel, sorry, but I had to get it working. I shutdown everything, rebooted the cable modem, router, and system and everything went away. no more errors. i dont know if i could duplicate. also, i could upload the server log, but it won't let me attach a zip file.

    by the way, i input that statement and everything in both the Conquest servers works great in my iQ-WEB servers now. no matter what they put in for institution name, it shows up in the pacs as either BMG for one server or SISTERS for the other. the only i noticed is now just before i see the export queue notice in the server status screen of the Conquest, i see the import convertor statement. but everything looks great.

    sorry i could not get you the error message. i had this once before and a reboot of everything stopped it.

    let me know how and i will get you the server logs and they will also show u the problems when i used a data coercion rule.

    Pat Stacey

    THAT IS THE ONE I AM USING. I JUST ENCOUNTERED ANOTHER PROBLEM AT ONE OF MY SERVERS. I HAVE REBOOTED THE SYSTEM, CANCELLED THE CONQUEST AS A SERVICE, REPACKED, REINDEXED, NOTHING WORKS. I AM GETTING A CONSTANT "MULITPLEX CONNECTION TERMINATED" ERROR AND I HAVE NOT MADE ANY CHANGES TO THE SOFTWARE. THIS IS MY "BMG" SERVER. I PUT THE LINE IN THE "SISTERS" SERVER AND IT IS WORKING PERFECTLY.

    DO YOU KNOW WHAT COULD CAUSE THIS ERROR TO SHOW UP ALL OF A SUDDEN?

    also, how do i make the institution name to be what i want? different techs on different modaluties put in different names and i want the name to always read a standard name, no matter what the techs put in. there is a way in Conquest to replace what the modulaties are sending with what I want it to read? I have read the manual, but I can't find it. That would solve all the problems.

    i turned the coercion rule back on that replaces the institution name with what i want (BMG) and it failed again. The error is "dicom error:remote dicom error". I turned on detail in the server for log, but i can't upload the file. I tried as a zip and txt file. what format does it have to be in?

    Pat

    Marcel, I am using the newest version of iQ-WEB. There is a "data cocerion" feature that lets me replace the institution name with a name of my chosing. This is necessary to create groups for viewing privileges. Basically, you have choices to add a suffix, add a prefix, or totally replace. I have tried all three. With any other PACS sending, any of them work. With Conquest, it makes it so that when a study is forwarded (auto or manual), it will start to work and then give a dicom error. Is there a way in the dicom.ini to for a change on the institution name so that it always shows the institution the way I need to to show when being transmitted?

    Thanks.

    Pat Stacey

    I have several rads that have purchased the Acer Netbook. The resolution of these is 1024x600 and can't be changed. The iQ-VIEW will not run and gives the error about 1024x768. I am a dealer (I work with John Mazur) and I need to be able to bypass that error. Is there a setting in the dicom.ini I can modify or create to not check the resolution?

    Pat Stacey

    Marcel, I seem to have tracked down the time. I have a 2 minute forward delay set. However, it is taking 20 minutes or longer to start the send. Now, we do have a lot of studies and they are coming in fast and furious. It is not unusual to see studies come in every 30 seconds or so and they are large. Is there a way to see the queue? increase it?

    Thanks.

    It also comes up with "starting server keep on trying delayed fetch/forward failures in DelayedFetchForwardFailures104?" when I start the gui. I tried to attach the log, but it is 4 megs, beyond the limit. Here it is 9:30 pm and studies from 10:30 am are just now getting out. Now that the data is no longer coming in, it is sending everything. This system is a Core 2 Intel, Windows XP Pro, 2 gigs ram, dual 500 mirrored hard drives. Our broadband is 10 down, 2 up and is the best we can get at this location.

    Something seems to bottle neck it up and I don't know why. The other Conquest is faster at getting the data over and it is at a major hospital with larger and much more files constantly coming in. That one is also a Core 2 Intel, 2 Gigs ram, same hard drives, Windows Server 2003. But, the broadband there is 20 up and down (fiber). Do you think that is the issue?

    Would opening up the queue work?

    Thanks.

    Sorry I did not get back to you sooner, just too busy.

    However, my forward delay was at 300. I still had the delay that was much longer so I changed it to 120. Seems to have helped, but still taking a long time to forward. How big is the queue? Is there a size limit? Most of the studies are very large CT and MRI and lots and lots of US and CR
