follow up. after i clicked verbose mode i clicked stop kpserver then start kpserver and got blank black box on screen. maybe an hour later there is about 20 lines of text in the box. how can i capture that text to send to you ?

i installed 1.6.0 and put a check in the checkbox verbose mode of the server.

then stopped server then started server . i got an empty black box on the screen.

where is the error cod stored ?

I have downloaded 1.6.0 and will try it out

oops 1.6.0

v 1.0.1 is only version i have used for years.
i will download 1.0.6 and install it.

i downloaded kpacs samples and used lung abscess demo 166 to test.

still not able to transfer to another kpacs.

not able to find verbose mode checkbox. did following. another install windows 7 pro. another install kpacs v 1.0.1. install conquest 14d.

i was able to transfer lung abscess demo 166 to conquest but could not view image ther in conquest.

but i was able to transfer from conquest head 101 to kpacs and view it there.

Can i install kpacs and conquest on same machine ? windows 7 pro

try osirix for mac

my problem is similar to sleibo's.

Osirix is a Query Retrieve Service Class Provider.

That means I should be able to retrieve from Osirix while sitting at a K-pacs workstation.

Right ?

I can query from K-pacs and see images but I can not figure out how to retrieve the images to my hard drive.

Help please.

concerning dicom.txt Dicom Configuration

that is the table of the list of dicom machines this machine can connect to

maybe i can use excel spreadsheet to sort dicom.txt.

i own excel as part of microsoft office, but have not installed it.

if you think it has a reasonable chance of working, i will install excell and hopefully figure out how to sort.

for example alphabetically.

I also read on this forum concerning receiving emails.

1. receive DICOM e-mails directly with iQ-View/K-PACS's built in POP3 client.

You have to setup the server correctly.

iQ-View/K-PACS will automatically merge the split mails and import them into the db.

2. receive the DICOM e-mails with a third party e-mail program. If email is not split, you can unzip them and import the images via filesystem tab. If they are split, you need a special application called unzipper.exe which can be downloaded here:

Is it possible to use gmail or yahoo mail ? are they a standard email client ?

The users manual says "a standard email client (Outlook, Outlook Express, etc.) must be installed and configured to automatically open an email form."
