is there a way to change this, say to most recent on top, by default?

i am using a 3 monitor configuration, with win XP Pro SP2. after the the screen saver comes, after the user logs on, the viewer shrinks to the middle monitor, no longer spanning the right two displays. this behavior is the same wether the dual, or single monitors are selected. any one know how to work around this?
