    Hello,

the limit of the iQ-VIEW / K-PACS database is set to 10.000 studies. You can also find this information in the iQ-VIEW Administration Guide (chapter 7 Maintenance).
However, since iQ-VIEW / K-PACS are viewing stations and not ment for archiving images, this limit should never be reached. For archiving images you would need to setup a PACS (like iQ-WEB).

    Hello Kev,

possible reasons for the IQSERVER to not start could be:

    - port of the IQSERVER (default: 104) is blocked/already in use by another application. In the first case you would need to check the firewall settings on the system, where iQ-VIEW is installed. The latter case can be checked with the command "netstat -anob" via the command prompt. All "LISTEN" ports will be shown there.
    - the path to the database is incorrect. If you have e.g. manually edited the path, it can happen that the "\" in the end of the path was forgotten. This will also stop the IQSERVER from starting (generally if an incorrect path is entered, the IQSERVER will not start).
    - incorrect parameters were entered.

Hope this can help to solve your issue.

I just checked the problem with your MANTIS account with our administrator and for some reason it wasn't enabled there. This could be due to unlucky timing, because we updated our complete MANTIS in the end of last year / beginning of this year and it seems like you have created your account when the MANTIS system was offline.
However, you should now be able to login with your forum user account without any problems.

Usually you should be able to log in to our MANTIS system with your forum Username and Password. I just tested it and it works without problems for me. However, if you can't login there, I'll contact our administrator so he can check what the problem is.

Because of some known issues we generally don't recommend to use iQ-VIEW on 64-Bit OS.
However, we are working pretty hard on getting iQ-VIEW ready for 64-Bit systems at the moment. We can't give you an exact date, when this will be done but we will keep you updated on our website or in the newsletter.

    Hi,

    thanks for reporting this issue.

We are aware of it and already have different entries in our MANTIS bug and feature tracking system (e.g. issue #0001192 or #0000383).
We are working on a fix for this issue. You can keep track of the MANTIS issues to know, when and in which version this issue will be fixed.

    Hi,

Yes, this is possible. Simply Copy & Paste your current local imagebox folder (Default: C:\Program Files\iQ-VIEW\Server\Database\) including the database file 'KPStudy.dir' to the new directory on the external usb hard drive.
If you have done this successfully, open the 'Local settings' in the study browser of iQ-VIEW and then click on 'Server Admin Tool'. Here you first have to click on the 'Stop server' button.
Now you can change the path of the imagebox ('IB') and the path of the database file ('DB'). Make sure that these end with an '\'. Otherwise the server can't be started again.
If you have done this click on 'Start server' and restart the whole application.
Now iQ-VIEW uses the database on the external hard drive.

For more information you can also take a look at the Administration Guide within the root folder of your iQ-VIEW installation. [Chapter 9.2.6 CHANGING THE DIRECTORY OF iQ-VIEW’S LOCAL IMAGEBOX AND DATABASE FILE]
