I have installed Conquest 1.4.15 on a windows server 2003 running as a virtual machine. The Dicom server runs as a service using the following executable:

D:\ConquestProgramFiles\dgateserv.exe /process dgate.exe -^serverstatus.log

With the service running I am unable to query the server using K-PACS or any other Dicom application. However as soon as I run ConquestDICOMServer.exe everything works fine. What am I doing wrong? Why do I need to run ConquestDICOMServer.exe application while the dgate.exe service running ok in the background?

I get the following error when attempting to install kpserver as a service on a Windows XP machine using command kpserver-Nt-service.exe /IA within K-Pacs-Server folder:

Error! The system could not find the environment option that was entered

Any help on this will be appreciated.

Please advice:

On installting version 1.4.15 I am prompted by Sophos anti-virus software:

Process 'conquest_dicom_server\webserver\activeformproj1.ocx' exhibiting suspicious behaviour pattern HIS/RegMod-005.
Access denied. Please send a sample to Sophos.
