We're running a number of K-PACS V 1.5.0 viewing stations which connect to a Conquest-based PACS system for ultrasound. Many of the ultrasound images are actually a single file containing multiple images (60 typically).
If a series consisting of several single image files interspersed with one or more multiple image files is downloaded to K-Pacs and viewed in cine mode, the result is not very useful.
What we'd like to do is select one of the multiple image files and just display it in a cine loop, instead of all the images in the series. But we can't see any way of doing this with K-Pacs.
Of course, one solution would be to make sure each multiple image file was in its own series. Another approach would be to download the series from Conquest and delete everything except for a single multiple image file. But it would be nice to simply select and run any multiple image files contained in a series.
Am I missing something ? Does somebody have a good work-around ? Any ideas would be most welcome.
