    Hi Andreas,
    I send images by e-mail using K-PACS. When the person receives his/her images, they noticed that they need a DICOM Viewer.

    Is it possible to send the images by e-mail with a DICOM viewer?

    Thanks

    I think Conquest as you said does not support JPEG2000Lossless.
    I think DicomReader 3.2 receives JPEG2000lossless and uncompress it before it sends the images to Conquest and that is why it is successful.
    On the other hand, K-PACS does not decompress the images, but it send them as they are JPEG2000 lossless.
    So, are you thinking of adding this feature to Conquest that it will support JPEG2000 Lossless? or will it cause some problems?

    thanks

    Hi,

    I scan the imagebox of kpacs (JPEG2000lossless) with DICOMReader 3.2b and sent it to Conquest with no problem.
    I tried to send the images from kpacs (jpeg2000lossless) to conquest with no success.
    So, that means that there is a problem when transferring the images (jpeg2000lossless) to conquest.

    I scan the imagebox of kpacs with DICOMReader 3.2b and sent it to Conquest with no problem.

    Bushranger,
    Try DICOMREADER 3.1 and then send them to Conquest.
    OR:

    Regenerate the directory: in Dicom.ini add a MAG with a name of the directory that contains all the JPEG2000lossless.

    I have the same problem and I think there is a problem in the transfer and not in the files because it works with the above methods.

    So, I am guessing that is a bug in Kpacs. Dicomreader 3.1 has something different that kpacs does not have as far as transfer. So, that is something between Mr.Andreas and Mr.Yeves Neuman.

    Thanks

    I tried to send the images from Kpacs and I got the above errors.
    Using Conquest, I regenerate Imagebox of Kpacs and I didn't have any problem.
    I sent the images from DICOMREADER 3.1 and I didn't have any problems.
    Is it a problem of transfer syntax in KPACS?
    I killed and restarted the server four times while the sending is still in progress in Kpacs, and Conquest started receiving images. although, I was missing the axial series.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    I get the same error when I switch to different port number for Conquest.
    So, I think the cause of this problem is the selection of the port.

    Hi,
    This SOP is rejected by Conquest:
    [CONQUESTSRV1] Presentation Context 90 "1.2.840.10008.5.1.4.1.1.66"
    Conquest is asking to add this pr.Context to the list in dgatesop.lst.

    what is the title of it and where should I add it in the dgatesop.lst?

    thanks

    Hi,
    Marcel, I know you are the developer for this product with the help of your partner.

    I also know that your product has a DICOM conformance statements.

    Our IT tech is debating the type of storage.

    What would be the appropriate MAG device for a legitimate business?

    The IT tech is saying that I need to get a DICOM server. I am using ConquestServer as a DICOM Server on my computer.

    What are your propositions? Does it have to be a DICOM Server or I can use any server or a computer and the application of ConquestServer?Is there any risks of using ConquestServer in a clinical environment? Any legal issues?

    Thanks

    Hi,
    I just want to share this info with the readers.

    Instead of generating the database, you can open C:\dicomserver1413\data.
    Remember, each file in the data has a patient ID.
    So, click on search. If you know the patient ID, type it and you will get the file of images you are looking for. Copy the file to a different directory.
    Open the file with your external viewer or Kpacs.

    Hope that help
    I am still waiting for replies about dgate. I noticed that dgate.exe runs when ConquestServer is open and it takes about 4% CPU (Task Manager).
    However, I don't know how people put the codes inot dgate.exe
    I opened dgate.exe, but it won't let me enter any code.
    So, hopefully the developers can enlighten me here, because I am in the radiology field, but knows some about commands.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    My question is:

    Do I have to set the time when the cleanup of the disk happens or the nightly move happen or is it set up to a default time?

    I have read the manual three times and there is no indication of how to access dgate and add or modify these options?

    When you access the disk by properties, it indicates a different amount of MB/GB than the #MB shown by Conquest Server? Which one should I go by?

    Can someone please help me?

    Thanks and Happy Holidays

    Hi,

    I don not know if it is possible to regenerate the device data by date instead of all of the data.

    So, it will be helpful to have a feature in the future that allows the end user to regenerate the device'data by date or modality, etc.
    This will be useful especially when you swap between devices.

    I think the feature will save time for the users to load the data to the server faster this way.

    Thanks

    Marcel,

    This is a follow up to LRUSort: StudyDate.
    Please, refer to the my reply titled with the above name.
    I set up MAG2: C\RECYCLER\recyclebin
    MAG0: F:\dicomserver1413\data\

    When MAG0 gets below X amount MB, it will be moved at night to MAG2.

    Using the scheduled tasks in the control panel, I scheduled the disk cleanup automatically to empty the recycle bin (MAG2) everyday at a certain time.
    Recycle bin size: 4 GB in XP, 40 GB in VISTA.

    MAG1: will be the receiver of studies filtered by your choice: ID, or date, etc.
    So:
    MAG0: Receiver and auto router without any filter to different AE(s).
    MAG1: Receiver with a filter (Date, modality, etc). Backup MAG.
    MAG2: Recycle bin of MAG0. Automatic deletion everyday to save disk space.

    What do you think of this setup as an alternative to LRUSort?

    Thanks

    Marcel,
    This is how I set up the MAGs:

    # Configuration of disk(s) to store images
    MAGDeviceThreshhold = 600
    MAGDevices = 3
    MAGDevice0 = F:\dicomserver1413\Data\
    MAGDevice1 = c:\temp\
    MAGDevice2 = c:\RECYCLER
    NightlyCleanThreshhold = 0
    NightlyMoveTarget = 0

    ImportConverters = 1
    ImportConverter0 = ifequal "%v0008,0020[0,3]", "2005"; storage MAG2
    ExportConverters = 1
    ExportConverter0 = forward to Kpserver

    The problem is: Removed files by date from MAG0 and MAG2.

    Any solution to this problem?

    Lambert,

    It is a good idea to do a nightly treshhold cleanup of the first MAGdevice and filter the import to the second storage (MAGDevice1) by ID or Date, etc.

    The problem is: when the second storage is large (forexample 1 TB), It will take a long time to regenerate the database into Conquest because the Conquest was installed in the directory of MAGDevice0.

    So, my question is:

    How can you auto-delete studies or do a nightly cleanup of MAGDevice 0 by Date?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    I used the following code to forward images between 2006 and 2007 and it was successful:

    ExportConverters = 1
    ExportModality0 = MR
    ExportConverter0 = ifnumless "%V0008,0020[0,3]", "2006"; stop; ifnumgreater "%V0008,0020[0,3]", "2007"; stop; forward to Kpserver

    Thanks

    Hi,

    I am using this code now and it works to send only 2007 studies.

    ExportConverters = 1
    ExportModality0 = MR
    ExportConverter0 = ifequal "%V0008,0020[0,3]", "2007"; forward to Kpserver

    If I want to send studies between 2006 and 2007, what code should I use?

    Thanks :)

    I added the commands to the dicom.ini
    It is working perfectly.

    Is is possible to forward only by year. Forexample only 2007 images can be forwarded to Kpserver.

    What command or code should I add to dicom.ini?

    I am using now this code:
    ExportConverters = 1
    ExportConverter0 = forward to Kpserver

    Thanks
    [/code]
