Hi bushranger,
could you tell me more about your configuration? Can you see the studies in K-PACS database, or does the network transfer fail at all?
There is no know incompatibility between K-PACS and Siemens Avanato, GE Prospeed.

Thanks, I can confirm this bug. It seems to happen only in "database" mode. If you select the "network" mode prior to opening the local setting window you can change to "Just retrieve - don't show" without problems.
This bug will be fixed in the next version.

Well, it looks like the query (c-find) failed. Did you check the "Log DICOM communication" checkbox in the log window? if not, please do so (requires "Debug" level) and repeat the query. Now, the logs should contain more information about the query arguments and the reason why it failed (you can post it here or send it to me if it contains private information)
Btw.: what pacs systems did you queried against? They have to support the Study Level Query Retrieve Information Model. You will find this information in the DICOM Conformance Statement of the systems.
Regards,
Andreas
Could you please email me an example image?
Best Regards,
Andreas
Of course it is (at least individual series)
you only have to click the little "+" icon that is display left of each study and the study details on series level will be opened. Then select the desired series and send it.

Andreas
Thank's for the info, this is very good to know.
Glad you like our product.

Andreas
Yes, you are right. I will fix this ASAP.

Andreas
There is no option to include a DICOM viewer yet, but it is already on my to do list.

Hi Chris,
Windows does not allow low level ASPI driver access in non-Administration mode for security reason. Due to the fact that all CD/DVD burn solution are facing the same issues, there are several solutions/workarround available. The best one is the free Nero-Burn-Rights application that forces Windows to allow it anyway.

The 16bit mode of Vidars TWAIN driver is not compatible to our library. You can setup the driver to transfer in 8bit mode which is not a big loss in quality since the scanner still aquires the images in 16bit.

Hi Georg,
it should acutally display 1.5 in the info dialog. Maybe the update process failed.
Did K-PACS display the new Splash Screen with '2007' at the right bottom? If not, you might still run V.1.0.1

Andreas

Yes, it will. It now uses an internal library for CD/DVD burning because the WindowsXP library turned out to be problematic.
Both, the commerical and the free version will be released in the next days (before RSNA)

Andreas
iQ-Views server decompresses the images by default AFTER reception. The transfer was using JPEG Lossles TS as you can see.
You can add the additional parameter -nd for no-decompression if you want to store lossless compressed images in your local imagebox.
K-PACS server does not have an on-the-fly decompression option.

Andreas
We found the problem:
change the medium identifier to something like "DCM". The identifier must not be larger than 8 characters and must not contain characters other than capital letters and underscore "_"
In other words: the identifier must strictly be compatible with ISO9660.

Andreas
Yes, please send me the DICOMDIR file of one of the CD's.
Although I am sure that this is not a K-PACS/IQ-View issue since the DICOMDIR is created with the standard OFFIS dcmmkdir tool and this is supposed to be Europe's reference implementation of DICOM.
We also recently passed the OFFIS DICOM CD test procedure which should detect those incompatibility issues.
Regards,
Andreas
Well, on the way
Company policy says that iQ-View should not be "behind" K-PACS.
We plan to release the next iQ-View version before this years RSNA but FDA/ISO required testings and documentations are very time consuming.

Andreas
Send to Andreas<at>k-pacs.de
Well, there are two options to import these e-mails:
1. receive DICOM e-mails directly with iQ-View/K-PACS's built in POP3 client. You have to setup the server correctly. iQ-View/K-PACS will automatically merge the splitted mails and import them into the db.
2. receive the DICOM e-mails with a third party e-mail program. If it is not splitted, you can simple unzip them and import the images via "filesystem" tab. In case they are splitted, you need a special application called unzipper.exe which can be downloaded here:
