I have tried to get the CR Reader to send to my Desktop computer using a static IP address, with no success. I can send from PC to reader, but I can not activate the Reader to send to PC.

    thanx

Try using your filesystem menu in k-pacs and browse to the directory on the CR which holds the images from the CR" Directory"

I think you are talking about when the file decompresses it becomes a install file that does not say kpinstall. Once you run the instyall the temp files and all rest go away. Install it on your desktop and watch.

Does the error appear when trying to convert the image to dcm or when loading it into the image convertion form? And can you convert the same images with one of the other k-pacs installs?

The error happens when trying to create the dicom file thru import function. you can browse for the file and preview and all that through windows but once you select with k-pacs the image does not show in the preview selecting pane. So it does not create the file even though it goes through the process. It gives a german error message.
In the other install it does just right it shows and creates and let you append the studies. It will convert in the other k-pacs with the same engine. I send the file with vnc to the other station and convert the file. Also I can use orisis AND IT WILL SEE THE BMP, AND CREATE THE FILE BUT IT WILL NOT SEPERATE THE IMAGES IT STACKS ON TOP OF EACH OTHER.

As far as I understood your explanation I can guess what the problem is. The object that defines the active monitor and the resolution gets confused because both monitors have the focus.
How did you get windows to drive two monitors like this? I use the standard Windows multi display setup and this works fine.

Ps.: I will try to figure out how to solve this problem.

Using the software provided by video card spreading desktop over two three monitors, nvidia or matrox and ati all have that function.

I have two different installations that are driving me crazy unable to make dicom files out of jpeg or bmps through import function. This is happening on two out of five installs. One on a windows 2000 machine the other on a windows xp machine. Have reset file associations on both, reinstalling no effect. The bmps show in paint and imaging in windows just not the import function. ANY IDEAS?

When will you allow the export to cd function to work? The workstation is great using it to turn scanned xrays into dicom files, and send to washington dc area from seattle. Would like to have some radiologist use the program but I have concerns they may not like it yet since they prefer radworks, but radworks now cost alot. sigh, But anyway keep up the great work.
