Backup

I don't know how but somebody wiped out the studies in the database. When I try to open up a study from the backup, patient information loads but not the images. (Fortunately, we can download the images from elsewhere and import them into KPACS.) In order to prevent something like this happening again and also to ensure we have access to the images if something happens to KPACS or the computer, what do you guys do to backup your studies in DICOM format?
