Can't figure out how to import dicom files into the K Pacs db from another location. Any suggestions?
v 1.6.0 Import dicom files

You really need to be more specific. From CD? From Conquest? From .dcm files? If you don't pose a useful question, we can't help.

I need to import from another \imagebox directory. I had been using a different PACS system and now I want to import those dicom files into the K-Pacs system. Any other details you need, just lest me know.

it would be best to ask your question in a KPACS forum, but using conquest as a tool, you can setup a conquest server to auto send to your KPACS, then drag and drop the folder containing the exams you want in to the conquest GUI, the images will then be processed and forwarded to your KPACS. (personally I would use conquest as your archive, and use KPACS or CCWorkstation as your viewer) <-- just my two cents.

My Bad! For some reason I thought ConQuest was a ver of KPacs. I took your advice and set up a ConQuest server. I dragged one of the dicom folders to the ConQuest app and got the following error
[PDMSPACS] DGATE (1.4.14, build Tue Sep 02 21:39:12 2008) is running as threaded server
[PDMSPACS] User interface test: local server is running!

Hi,
How big is the image that causes the error? If it is small (not 775 MB), the file is probably corrupted.

No the dir is probably about 500-700 megs. Is this too big to handle?
-
No,
only a single BIGGG file would cause such trouble. Try setting IgnoreOutOfMemoryErrors = 1 in dicom.ini. This will allow you to get past corrupted files.

I did a re-install and it seems to get beyond that error. Thanks for the help so far. Can you reccomend a viewer. I am using multiple multi-frame dicom files (echocardiogram).

Hi,
try k-pacs. I am updating the conquest web viewers for multi-frame, but now they are not yet very good.
