Refused to enter inconsistent link SeriesInst into...

  • Hi!
    In the beggining sorry for my poor english and mistakes.
    I have similar problems with retrieving an images from CR's which someone descibed at forum, but i have no answer how to fix it.
    I had this problem on conquest 1.4.13 and also 1.4.14beta. When this error occurs the Fuji CR's don't want to send studys made after this refused study. Fuji stations sending this study and other waiting in queue.
    In that situation I always make "Re-initialiize database" or "Regen single device" but this is no good way. Sometimes i must make reinitialization few times. When the database is small its not a problem but with 200Gb of data this could be a big problem. Does anybody can help?. Here is an error:

    Thank you very much!

  • Hi,

    It looks like someone or some program is messing with the UIDs of the scans. Once this happens, the inconsistency causes the "refused" to enter. If the data would not be refused, the database entries of previously entered scans would be lost. This is not a bug in the software, but a 'bug' in the data.

    The problem is explained in:

    http://www.image-systems.biz/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=618

    I see no solution but to make sure that the UIDs are never changed, or that they are ALL changed. If you look at the images, you see:

    Old image:
    PatientID = 'G 1029/08 D'
    SOPInstanc = '1.2.392.200036.9125.4.0.118476876.1510748160.940783988'
    SeruiesUID ='1.2.392.200036.9125.3.48195611657.64549748325.16521244',

    New image:
    PatientID = 'G 1029/08 D'
    SOPInstanc = '1.2.392.200036.9125.4.0.118476876.1510748160.940783988'
    SeruiesUID ='1.2.392.200036.9125.3.48195611657.64549749465.16521253'

    I.e., the same image belongs to two different series, which is not possible in the DICOM data model. You could off-course delete the old data, which would allow the new data to be entered.

  • Hi
    I have a simlar problem with toshiba aquillion when patient name is changed later on and the the "new" studie is sent to the pacs - kind of annoying, thoug we didnt have the prob with GE modalities :-(

  • Thanks for answer!
    But I wonder how an E-film software cope with inconsistent data. I'm sending data from CR's to Conquest and also to E-film software, and on E-film there is no such problem.

  • Hi wolbi,

    I think that problem comes from the patient id entered from cr console.
    We use fuji cr and we have no problem to send data to conquest.
    e-film does not use patient id to store to its local disk, it uses study uid which
    is unique and obsolute. Try simple patient id enterance such as 12345 (only numbers without space or delimiters) from cr console. Ali

  • I can confirm that Efilm has no problem storing those studies.
    If we are aware of the problem we delete the old study in Conquest and just sent the new one - if we are not aware of it....well then the radiologists have to do a little diggin when they are searching for that specific study in the future ;-)

  • Hello!
    I know what is the reason of errors in my conquest. It's a human error:)
    When nurse on Fuji CR make some mistakes for example: she enter not unique patient ID or bad patient name, and then she makes correction, conquest get back an error.
    Yesterday one nurse enter the same patient ID for two diffrent patients. Interesting thing is that E-film do not correct this error and in e-film database i see two patients with the same patient ID, and this is no good. Conquest is better :)
    Thanks everyone for help
