I see that all bugs/features scheduled for the 2.8 release have been completed ( http://mantis.image-systems.biz/roadmap_page.php ).
I wonder when do you plan to release the new version.
there are very nice fix that I look forward to use.

The validation phase is starting and will take at least three months.

I'm confident to see it released long before the end of 2012.
iQ-VIEW 2.8 is mainly addressed to fix certain 2.7 issues, thus we want to deploy it as soon as possible to our customers. -
Marketing will anounce the iQ-VIEW 2.8 release in its August Newsletter in a few days.

It depends mostly on your vendor.
If you are eligable for an upgrade (which I am asuming), get in touch with your vendor the next days. I'm sure you'll enjoy the new enhancements of iQ-VIEW 2.8.
